ASIGURAREA CALITATII - QUALITY ASSURANCE® is a peer-reviewed quarterly international journal aimed at disseminating significant theoretical and practical results in the field of quality and dependability (reliability, maintainability, availability, safety/security a.o.) engineering, assurance and management. An important aim of this journal is to achieve a balance between academic material and practical applications. ASIGURAREA CALITATII - QUALITY ASSURANCE® is published quarterly in March, June, September and December for a total of four times a year – under the aegis of a distinguished International Scientific Board – by the Romanian Society for Quality Assurance (SRAC). The journal publishes – in English - review and original papers, as well as books reviews and short analyses of conferences in the field. The magazine contains 32 A4 pages, in black-and-white, and is distributed to SRAC collaborators and partners from abroad inclusively.

PEER REVIEW PROCESSThe submitted papers are subject of a peer review process in order to select for publishing articles meeting high standards in electrical engineering and computer science. In a first step the Editor-in-Chief sends the received papers, without the name and affiliation of authors, to the corresponding Associate Editor and one expert in the field, normally by e-mail. The evaluation form used by reviewers contains a checklist in order to help referees to cover all the aspects that can decide the publication. In a final section of the evaluation form the reviewers may include suggestions for improvement that are send to the authors. All the reviewers of a paper remain anonymous to the authors and act independently. They have different affiliation, usually located in different towns, and they are not aware of each other’s identities. If the decisions of the reviewers are not the same the paper is send to a third reviewer. If the suggestions of reviewers for improving the paper are rejected by the author, the chief editor invites the author to reply to reviewers with the respect of anonymity. Observing the dialog, the chief editor may send the paper to additional reviewers. The final decision for publication is done by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the scrutiny of reviewers and the scope of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the quality and selection of manuscripts chosen to be published, and the authors are always responsible for the content of each article. Editor:
